Meet the Artist Project

Meet the Artist Project – call for participating artists

The Monashee Arts Council has entered into an agreement with the Okanagan Regional Library (Lumby) to offer a program to raise the awareness in the community of our local artists.  This project will provide a venue for local artists to showcase their work in the Lumby Branch, as well as take part in evening/weekend events during which the public can meet the artists to discuss their pieces

MAC’s 20th Anniversary Year

We are celebrating our 20th year of sharing & promoting arts & culture in our region!

We are going through our records to create a truly special celebration of this and we would love to hear from YOU!

Cultural Survey

The Monashee Arts Council is taking a Cultural Survey of Lumby, Whitevale, Mabel Lake, Lavington/Coldstream, Cherryville and the surrounding areas. Are you an artist, sculptor, potter, performer, writer, playwright or any other type of cultural creative? Let us know who you are!  MAC directors will be doing interviews to discover what talents are in the area.

Almost 2 Decades of MAC

Supporting Arts & Culture in the Community for almost Two Decades!

The Monashee Arts Council has been actively working on bringing artistic and cultural events to Lumby and the surrounding areas for almost two decades!
We take great pride in being able to support both our local artists and supporters of the arts.  We are a dedicated group of volunteers (with the support of our Arts & Culture Program Coordinator, Jennifer Greenwood), who are committed to continuing this important work in the community.  We always welcome new members to join us in our activities.  If you’d like to join the arts council and/or volunteer to help with one of our many rewarding committees/projects, please contact Jennifer at the MAC office located in the Village Gallery at 1975 Vernon St., in the heart of Lumby, by phone at 778-473-3029 or by email at monasheeartscouncil@gmail.com
We’d love to hear from you!
