Join us for our second show at the Village Gallery as Robin Ledrew’s presents ‘See Here Now’
The show combines some of Ledrew’s recent acrylic paintings (2020) with a selection of her work from the past fifty years.
Acrylic, watercolour, digital art, pencil and oil are all represented. Of interest to any collectors of her work, there will be pieces for sale that have not been offered before.
‘See Here Now’ will be running until March 30th at the Village Gallery @ 1975 Vernon street (hwy 6) open Monday – Saturday 10am-3pm
The Village Gallery is hosting a new show starting January 4, 2021 with the figurative art of Nina Westaway, a long-time volunteer with the gallery and Monashee Arts Council. It is part educational and part-revelatory, exploring how figure drawing and portraiture can be taught and experienced. She is also offering one-on-one free workshops, for an hour on Saturdays: January 9, 16, 23, and 30. All materials will be supplied. Adults and children 12 years and over are welcome to register, and no experience is necessary. Four different topics are offered. The lessons are scheduled from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at the gallery, 1975 Vernon Street (Highway 6). Please phone 778-473-3029 for the list of topics and to schedule lessons.
The gallery will also continue to offer small craft items from local artisans: cards, art calendars, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, barnwood frames, turned wood items, divination cards, small paintings, aprons, knitted and woven items.
