Thanks to a grant from the British Columbia Arts Council, the Monashee Arts Council is planning to digitize the mural "The Land that Feeds Us" painted by the community this past summer.  We are looking for someone with computer skills; website design experience and website hosting capacity, who can help us upgrade our website and create the framework for text and photographs describing the contents of the mural.


The successful applicant will be able to:


1.  Transfer the content from the existing Drupal-based Monashee Arts Council website: www.monasheeartscouncil.com  to a new WordPress site.

2.  Add additional content that is needed, for example: history of MAC; current events; programs; members' directory; about us; contact us.  Sitemap.  Content will be supplied by MAC in appropriate files.

3.  Utilize provided photographic material and text files to create a digitized and interactive page for the project: "The Land that Feeds Us" - assembling photos into composite images and implementing photographic mosaic for Web.  This will require some html coding skills in addition to website construction.

4.  Provide 2 training sessions in WordPress and website data entry and maintenance for the board, select members of the Monashee Arts Council and staff.

5.  Initiate SSL certification.


Please provide two references and links to sample sites demonstrating your work.

Proposals must be received by Feb.26th 2019.  Work must be completed by August 30th 2019.

Submissions should be in size 12 font, max 2 pages.  The lowest bid may not be the one selected.  Notification of the successful bid will be done by March 15th 2019.
