Artbeat…arts & culture from the edge

The Monashee Arts Council invites local organizations to apply for a grant to sponsor visual and performing arts programs in our community. We welcome proposals that include educational or entertainment activities that present the visual and performing arts.

1. Local non-profit groups may apply to bring arts activities or events to our community.

2. Proposals must include a project description, budget, and timeline.

3. Deadline for applications is May 27, 2014

April 20-26, 2014 is BC Arts & Culture Week!  The Monashee Arts Council will be celebrating by hosting local artists demonstrating their craft on Wednesday April 23rd, Friday April 25th, and Saturday, April 26th.  Please stop by to visit some of the amazing, talented members of the community!  Some of the demos booked as of publication time are acrylic transfer and watercolour pencils.  Check our website or FB page for more updates!

 

Meet the Artist, a joint venture between the Monashee Arts Council and the Okanagan Regional Library (Lumby Branch) launched on April 1st with local resident Nina Westaway as the featured artist.  Nina’s beautiful creations will be on display at the Lumby library for the entire month of April.  Don’t miss this fantastic exhibition!
